The CareWell team in Dennis is doing a commendable job with the impossible task of providing rapid coronavirus testing on the Cape in the summertime. No system is perfect, but they’re making things work as well as can be managed. My recommendations: 1. Show up at least an hour before opening to get in line (30 people already in line when I showed up at 7:15am); 2. pack for the beach (folding chair, wide-brimmed hat, bottle of water, and your favorite book, as well as your mask, for waiting in line); 3. Bring at least four hours of in-car entertainment with you for your wait in your parked car AFTER the sign-in line (download a movie, sort your mail, bring a friend and a deck of cards); and most of all, 4. Be kind! (the CareWell staff are working non-stop to deliver a valuable service, and they {like everyone else} are stressed, uncertain, and doing the best they can). Plan ahead - make your wait time enjoyable - be patient - be kind! (Thank you CareWell!)

I feel I need to explain the procedure here for all the people who have not yet attempted this. I arrived at about 7 am and was about number 10 in line. By the time the doors opened, I was about 30 or 40 in line, as many young people hold places for their friends who show up at 7:55. A woman comes out with a clip board and you have to scan a bar code. All of a sudden, people from the back of the line go forward and scan the code which is also posted. I am a little older, so I didn't scan correctly and just took a picture, which didn't work. I had a nice young girl help me and I was able to reach the forms that you fill out on line. Then, you simply wait. I got my first call to complete my registration at 9:45, so it was about 3 hours. I don't know how much longer I would have had to wait for a second phone call, because I decided not to wait and told the woman on the phone I was leaving. My suggestion is to be the first or second in line at 6 am, and you will probably be in shortly after 8. Take a chair and a cup of coffee. It would be nice if they just took on line appointments. There are obviously very many people in line who have gone through this procedure before and know what they are doing.

Aside from a long wait (due to there not being enough places to get quick covid testing on the cape), the service was excellent. The staff was really helpful with signing in. The med staff were kind, friendly, and professional.

Do not go here. They don’t swab correctly, turn people away 45 min before closing when these matters are urgent. They actually turned my mother away after she was exposed and has a life threatening condition. Look, I know these are hard times for us all, but this place just does not cut it. The staff isn’t trained correctly- so the tests do not work! And when a test is literally ALL WE HAVE, they need to be th most accurate that they possibly can be to not let this spread! They’re ineffective and aren’t qualified to do their job in such a pressing and urgent matter. It’s important to call this out when we see it so we CAN CHANGE, and DO BETTER.

My Husband brought me to this clinic for a rapid Covid test a few weeks ago that my surgeon required.
We registered, then waited (for about an hour). I got tested while in the car, and then received the results in just 20 minutes. Located right off the exit for Dennis in a large shopping plaza.
